Hedera helix 'Gold Child' (English Ivy)
Hedera helix 'Gold Child'
Features variegated leaves with a lobed, ivy shape and heart-shaped base. The leaf color is gray-green with irregular, wide, gold-green margins. The variegation turns creamy white in hot weather. As plants grow, they develop bushier, more mature growth and develop sharper, triangular leaves with no lobes.
Ivy Basic Care
- Water: Allow the surface to dry out between watering, but ensure the soil doesn’t dry completely.
- Light: Thrives in medium to bright direct light; avoid placing it in low-light areas.
- Soil/Drainage: A typical houseplant soil with good drainage is suitable. Amending the soil with perlite can enhance drainage.
- Temperature/Humidity: Prefers average to cooler household temperatures and humidity levels.
