Hoya multiflora (Shooting Star Wax Plant)
Hoya multiflora
Hoya multiflora, known as the "Shooting Star" Hoya, is one of the easier to care for indoor Hoya plants. They bloom almost freely, with their blooms resembling shooting stars. It generally has white or yellow blooms and will produce many blooms once it is mature.
Once a Hoya starts to put on flower buds do not disturb it, and after it has bloomed don't remove the spent flowers. Allow the dead flowers to fall off on their own. This interesting plant doesn't like to be repotted unless it's absolutely necessary.
Hoya Basic Care: Medium
- Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect light and needs at least some natural light so place it somewhere with windows nearby.
- Water: Treat it like a succulent—allow the soil to dry out completely between watering.
- Soil/Drainage: This plant needs a well-draining soil mix.
- Temperature/Humidity: Normal household temperatures are acceptable. Higher humidity is preferred but not essential.
